SOME THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE WADDLING:
If you think your Basset may get tired halfway through, consider bringing a wagon with you to pull him/her the rest of the way. The parade committee has asked that we keep pace with the rest of the parade so please plan accordingly. Pooped pup pick-up trucks will also be available for tired hounds (not tired people)!
All dogs must be current on shots and be on a leash (non-retractableleads recommended) at all times. We recommend no more than one dog per walker. Water will be available in the staging area and at the park. Dress comfortably based on the weather.
Due to very limited parking along the parade lign up area please consider getting dropped off at the staging area the day of the parade.
This year we are kindly asking for donations for entry to waddle with us in the parade. We will use all these donated funds towards the cost of the parade entry fees & any remaining funds will be directly donated towards the care of the hounds in HHBR.
FUNDRAISING DETAILS:
Each hound must raise a minimum of $20 to waddle and foster dogs are free. Each hound to send in their $20 gets a free hound bandana, a bag full of dog treats. $20 entry fee can be made by the link below or can be given to a HHBR Team member the day of the waddle.
Our goal is $2,000! Even if you cannot attend the Waddle, the hounds would love if you could collect money for Hounds Haven Basset Rescue.
How do you raise the money? Kindly ask your family, friends & co-workers if they will sponsor your hound(s) in the parade using the Pledge Sheet.
These pledges can be in the Memory of a hound at the Rainbow Bridge, your current hound or even a past or current foster hound. All pledges are tax deductible & go right towards the care of the hounds in HHBR's foster care program.
